Last week hackers began releasing data on the reported 40 million users of the online cheating site AshleyMadison.com. A comprehensive data set has not been easily obtainable, however various sites and sources have emerged with various presentations of the data, including a Spanish website named Malfideleco. Malifideleco, which is Esperanto for infidelity, has pulled addresses from the Ashley Madison data dump, and, while incomplete, gives insight into local user numbers as well as gender data on an easy to search map.
According to the Map, Corona is home to over 16,000 Ashley Madison users, while nearby Norco is home to just over 1,400. As for the gender breakdown, both cities had a user base that was predominantly male. Corona users were nearly 86% male, while Norco’s users were 87% male.
The complete Malfideleco’s map can be found here.
Though the data is likely incomplete, it suggests that roughly 19% of the Corona-Norco male population is part of the online cheating site.
