Family Fight Results In A Homicide In Corona

A man is dead after what appears to be a family fight in Corona, police say.

Police found the victim while investigating a 2:04 p.m. call Monday, Aug. 24, of a fight involving three men along the 1000 block of Flaming George Road in a sprawling housing development nestled between Highway 91 and Green River Drive.

The victim was lying unconscious in the street and was taken to a hospital where he died, said Sgt. Paul Mercado.

All three men are believed to be related, Mercado said.

Per scanner radio traffic, the victim had tire tracks across his stomach which indicated that hey may have been possibly run over.

The victim’s identity and the reason for the fight weren’t immediately available.  Anyone with additional information may call Senior Detective Bryan Wood at 951-279-3631.
