Update:

Message from Centennial Principal,

Dr. Roberts:

Hello, this is an important message for the Centennial High School Community. We are writing to inform you of an incident that impacted Centennial High School last night. Yesterday evening around 9pm, the Corona Police Department received a subsequent call from an anonymous caller referencing a bomb threat at Centennial High School. Immediately upon receiving the call, Corona Police Department began a thorough sweep of our campus. After an extensive sweep of our campus, police determined that our school was safe for students and staff, and provided the clearance for school to resume as normal today.

We would like to remind the community that any threats to student safety are taken seriously with an abundance of precaution, as was the case last night and earlier this week.

While these unfortunate events this week naturally may cause concern we would like to remind parents, staff, and students that campus is safe and ready for another day of teaching and learning. We thank you for your support and commitment to student safety and will see you today at the regularly scheduled start time.

As a precaution, there will be additional police units in and around our campus throughout the day. The Corona Police Department is actively investigating the source of these anonymous calls and will have additional information as it becomes available. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact our School Resource Officer Michael Placencia at 951-739-5670 ext.20021.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly or any member of my administration team also at 951-739-5670.

Thank you,
Dr. Ben Roberts
