Video: 3-alarm apartment fire displaces 3 residents

A three-alarm fire burned a Corona apartment, displacing three residents and sending one person to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation, city fire officials said.

The blaze was reported at 3:57 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, along the 1100 block of Stone Pine Lane, about 1/3 mile west of Interstate 15 and Magnolia Avenue.

The danger of nearby apartments igniting and the fatigue induced by triple-digit heat prompted the incident commander to sound the second and third alarms, fire officials said in a written statement.

The crews of eight fire engines and two ladder trucks were dispatched to the incident.
