Deputy Involved Shooting In Victorville

On November 9, 2015, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies from the Victorville Police Department were dispatched to the Travel Inn & Suites located on Seventh Street in the City of Victorville for the report of a shooting at an inhabited dwelling. Employees of the business reported a hispanic male adult in a hooded sweatshirt and grey beanie shot at the business and was attempting to enter the business to rob him. Deputies contacted a subject matching the suspect’s description near the intersection of Lacy Street and Culley Street, not far from the Travel Inn. The suspect refused to comply with multiple commands given by deputies and a deputy involved shooting occurred. The suspect was taken into custody and air lifted to a local area hospital for treatment of his injuires, which are not life threatening.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail responded to the locatoin and are currently conducting the investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.
