Corona PD Investigating a Homicide at Rack Sports Bar

At 11:23 PM, August 9, 2015, Corona Police Department Dispatch received a call of a stabbing from a reporting party who told dispatch that one male was stabbed in the parking lot of Rack’s (billiards), 1650 E. Sixth St., Corona and a possible suspect was seen running from the location. Officers responded to Rack’s and located one Hispanic male adult who had sustained a non-life threatening stab wound, he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officers were directed to the area where the possible suspect fled and a Hispanic male adult was ultimately located and taken into custody, he is being held for questioning. A short time later, a second stabbing victim, a male adult, was located deceased, laying in the east parking lot of Rack’s. The deceased has yet to be identified and the investigation is ongoing. It is unknown at this time if the two stabbings are related.
